It was like pushing aside the curtain to find the moon shining down on you in its full glory.

Like lying in a field under millions of stars as the world curved around you,

like clutching the grass so you wouldn’t simply fall into the sky.

You took every piece of me and gently laid them in the open,

admired them as though you were looking at the universe,

each piece a glittering star in the dark expanse of me.
